This is an incredibly skilled performance of an extremely well composed work! The full and comprehensive use of traditional orchestral voicings is given even more dramatic weight by the additional choral elements to produce a sound that is endlessly engaging. The piano feature at 3:44 is gorgeous and tense - giving way to the following swell beautifully. Really stellar attention to dynamic contrast as well as rhythmic tension and release. Truly inspiring work!

The dramatically charged finale of Alain Amouyal's Frames For A Fairy Tale, simply titled Certainty, bears a sense of resolution that cannot be captured by words. Amouyal's full use of the orchestral range, in addition to a full choir, creates an emotionally dense and artistically arresting sound, creeping from the softest, lowest, and darkest depths of musical expression upward through some of the most tense and ethereal orchestrations ever recorded.
Masterful use of the ranges and timbres available! The majority of this piece resides in a quiet and somewhat tense sonic space, with surprisingly explosive moments maintaining a sense of narrative drive.
At 8 minutes and 45 seconds into the piece, the lone soprano's softening of the soundscape feels immense against the rest of the piece's tonality - climaxing at 9:22 with a high note that sends chills. Gorgeous lyricism from the vocalist, with the presence of words creating a much more sentient sensation. The warmth that follows in the humming and woodwind feature is endlessly engaging, and fully impressive. Bravo!
Alain Amouyal's Frames For A Fairy Tale is gorgeously conceived and fully narrative-driven - making it a prime listening experience for fans of fantastic imaginary-fueled narratives and scoring. Those who seek the emotional complexities and story-telling capabilities of masterfully crafted orchestral music will find Certainty to be a deeply rewarding venture - with the piece's fifteen minute runtime dissipating in what seems like an instant. Thanks so much for submitting these beautiful works! Wishing you well in the midst of these tribulations. - Jon W.

Optimistically cautious, Liberation carries a sentimental hopefulness that resonates to the core. The penultimate piece from Alain Amouyal's Frames For A Fairy Tale brings dark and bombastic energies to reconciliation with softer and more pastoral tones - speaking to a hard-won freedom through spritely woodwind and spring features, a blend of full choral sounds and solo soprano moments, and an emotionally poignant chime before winding itself into a succinct finish with resoundingly triumphant brass.
This is such skilled composition - it's very clear that Alain has a full grasp of the capabilities and intricacies of the orchestra. The passing of themes from voice to voice within the orchestra is very emotionally satisfying, and the shifting meters create a vivid sonic world. The male-driven choral moments with soaring female voices feels immensely poignant and prescient - giving way very well to the softer and more wind-driven passages. Big fan of the accelerando through the end - very engaging and cathartic with a perfect brass finish. Wonderful!
Listeners seeking warm and inviting soundscapes, clever classical orchestrations and cinematically satisfying emotional composition will find themselves entranced by Alain Amouyal's Liberation, and doubly so if listening within the context of Frames For A Fairy Tale! As engaging as any fantasy film score and twice as satisfying, Liberation offers a wondrous depth of musicality to any that choose to listen! Marvelous works - I'm very grateful for the opportunity to listen! - Jon W.
